San Choy Bau






     Ingredients


     500g beef mince

     1 tbsp olive oil for frying
     1 brown onion, finely diced
     2 garlic cloves, crushed
     1 carrot, grated

     1/2 cup cabbage, finely chopped
     1/2 cup each of frozen corn and peas
     1/2 tsp Chinese 5 spice

     1-2 tbsps Tamari or Braggs All Purpose
     Seasoning
     Half a washed iceberg lettuce, peeled
     into individual cups.


     Method


     In a large frying pan, sauté the onion,
     carrot and garlic in the oil until soft then
     add the mince and stir-fry until the mince
     is brown.

     Add all other ingredients and mix to
     combine. Turn the heat down and place
     a cover over the pan until the frozen

     vegetables are heated through.
     Spoon the mix into lettuce cups and
     serve. Makes approximately 12 cups.
