DIRECTOR: ROTARY FOUNDATION – Rtn. Nitin Kelkar

Functions & Responsibilities:

The mission of The Rotary Foundation is to support the efforts of R.I. in
fulfillment of the object of rotary, Rotary’s mission, and achievement of

world understanding & peace. The Rotary Foundation has three main areas:

1) Education Programs 2) Humanitarian Grants & 3) Polio Plus
Education Program includes Ambassadorial Scholarships, Rotary Grants for

University teachers, Group Study Exchange, Rotary centers for International
studies in peace & conflict resolution.

Humanitarian Grants provides funds for Rotary clubs & districts & includes

programs such as Matching Grants & District Simplified Grants.

Primary duty will be to educate members about the Rotary
Foundation & its various programs

To set a target for contribution from members to donate to the
Foundation

Target to try & make all members Paul Harris sustaining members in
current year.

To participate & co-host GSE teams.

To plan for club & its members for participating in Youth Exchange
programs

To apply for District Simplified Grant & Matching grants for a worthy

project
To identify prospective GSE Team Leader & Team Member for

participation in the Rotary GSE Program.
To identify prospective CSR oriented Firms and approach them for joint

participation in the Rotary Program thro TRF by donating for specific purpose as Directed
Gift
