9-year-old Da-yi is a friendly, helpful and easy-going boy. But life
is very challenging for him. He is facing several obstacles with the
most serious of them being the absence of his seriously ill mother
who has to stay in hospital. Da-yi’s relation with his stepfather isn’t
well either as he has to work all the time in order to pay for his wife’s
hospital bills. The boy’s life consists of school, being at home and
in the hospital. This routine is only interrupted by a relocation and
thus a change of school. Together with his new friends, he is trying
to get along with all these troubles. As Da-yis mother’s condition
worsens and she is about to be shifted into a specialized clinic, he
and his friends seize this as an opportunity to go on an obstacle-
ridden adventure. On the difficult way to his mom, the yellow flow-
er, which he once bought her, seems to be guiding him.
