The small town of Hömpstad is plagued by a series of burglaries, Producer
and the police seem to be powerless. One day, ten-year-old Vinski Laura Salonen, Juha Wuolijoki
meets an old pharmacist who thinks the town needs a superhe-
ro like Vinski and gives the boy an invisibility powder. This magic Kontakt Contact
powder not only makes people invisible, but also lets them walk The Finnish Film Foundation
through thick walls. Vinski is supposed to go on the hunt for the
burglars with the help of this powder. But Vinski is anything but a
hero. The rather shy boy has no friends and is bullied by Juuso and
his gang. But when his mother’s pastry shop is raided at night and
all the money is stolen, Vinski has to take action. Together with the
old pharmacist, he haunts the town invisibly at night and catches
one crook after another. However, there is still one suspect, name-
ly Vinski’s mother’s new boyfriend, the security man Antero. The
pharmacist fears that Vinski is not guided by evidence but rather by
his jealousy and thus jeopardises the secret operation.
