2.1 Maps Display and Working Area
The Maps Display and Working Area (MDWA) occupies a majority of the MAGNET Modeling
Environment. THE MDWA is the region where conceptual modeling is performed and subsequent solutions
are obtained (examples are shown throughout this manual). The MDWA is enabled with Google Maps (or,
alternatively, the user may choose to use Microsoft Bing – this is detailed in the next version of the
MAGNET Manual). The default view upon login is a map projection of the entire globe.
