                                         Tribute

               My Dear Beloved Daddy,

Words cannot even begin to express the shock, sadness and disappointment of your death.
However I am trus ng that God will con nue to guide, heal, protect and bless our family while
you rest in peace. So many memories come to my mind whenever I say your name. The many days
you spent helping Benjamin, Blessing and I doing homework. Going to the mall, movies, church,
mee ngs, park, beach and other events. I will miss the different stories you told us about your
childhood, my mom, our Igbo culture, your experience in America and how God always came
through for you in different situa ons. Thank you for showing me uncondi onal love, being an
over protec ve dad, always pu ng us first and making so many sacrifices.
My father was my friend, role model, hard worker, advisor, God fearing and my rock. There
are not enough words in this world that can truly describe what a great father you were. Thank
you daddy for always believing in me, been there for me, encouraging me to be myself and God
fearing. I remember my senior year in high school, I had the opportunity to travel to California for
three days with my school for a compe on. You made sure that I got everything I needed for the
trip, and gave me more than enough money just in case if I needed it. A er arriving in California, I
spoke with you over the phone several mes before the day ended. Early morning the next day,
the girls that were my roommates, woke me up, telling me to please get my phone because it
keeps ringing. I just started laughing as I got up to get my phone because I already knew it was you
calling to check on me. I had to remind you that New Jersey was three hours ahead in me than
               California.
My dear Daddy, I want you to know that I love you so much and you're my best friend. I am
so proud to be your daughter and I will con nue to make you proud and admire how unselfish you
were. In your life me you have managed to accomplish some much and help many people. From
your life in Nigerian, to coming to America, ge ng your Master's in Business Administra on,
being a Correc on Officer at Essex County Jail, bringing your children, my mom to America and
suppor ng/ helping other family members and friends in American and Nigerian. Throughout my
years with you, I have seen how some extended family members and friends have hurt and
caused you pain but never once did you ever wish them any harm, instead you just prayed for
them and le it in God's hands.
Now even though it breaks my heart that you're gone, I know that you're in a be er place
now. There are not enough words in this to describe what a great dad you were. So instead of
saying goodbye, I will say rest in peace and I will see you each later.
Revela on 14:13 NIV says "Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead
who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their
deeds will follow them.”Revela on 14:13 NIV
