Tribute Father
To My

“Whatever you agree on, your God will also agree on it for you”. This was favorite quote of
our beloved father, the man we have all gathered here to bid farewell. “Daddy”, as we
affec onately called him, was a good and loving father. He loved God and acknowledged
him in all he did just as his favorite quote demands. Daddy was strict, generous, kind and
an amazing disciplinarian. Beneath his formidable exterior was a wonderful personality,
who dealt fairly and kindly with all manner of person. Daddy always demanded that his
errands be done right and insisted on high standards un l every strand is laid to
perfec on. As children, we did not understand him, but growing up, I have come to
appreciate him more and more.

Daddy, your precise counsel was a s tch in me that saves us from was ng precious me
trying and failing. You paid a en on to details and showed so much love that even before
we bring our complaints to you, you cra your words of advice. It personally amazed me
and gave us, your children the assurance that there was always a listening ear. We wish we
had read your tribute much more in the future but then, what is under the custody of
death, life cannot liberate. So we say with all our hearts that we could not have prayed for
a be er father. Dad, I remembered the last me I spoke to you in October last year, you
sounded so full of life but li le did I know, that you will soon journey to the land of our
ancestors. I wish I had told you how much you inspire me. Indeed, we know not when

death will be knocking on our door.

Who are we as human to ques on God? In mes like this however, we are not to lose faith.
It is for us to know that although we have lost your listening ear, but our God is eternally
listening to us. We may have lost your guidance, but God has already made provision
through the Holy Spirit. We love you daddy, but we are sure God loves you more.

We say as your work here on earth is done, we are sure heavenly bound….. For he gives
beloved sleep. Psalm 127:2
