        Our Affirmative Action Officer Certificate Program provides essential knowledge, skills and tools for every AAO, whether you are newly
        appointed or an experienced in the role. It includes an overview of state and federal anti-discrimination law, a review of the latest case
        law, tips for recruiting and supporting a more diverse school staff, tools and strategies for conducting effective investigations, a review
        of discrimination issues related to current events, including COVID-19 and racial injustice, and tools for promoting a comprehensive and
        proactive district approach.


        Live online, 9 am - 3 pm each day
        Day 1 - An Overview of Discrimination Law and the Role of the AAO - Aug. 24, 2021
        Day 2 - Conducting AAO Investigations and Addressing Racial Justice and Other Current Events - Aug. 25, 2021
        Day 3 - Addressing Implicit Bias and Establishing Comprehensive Systems, Protocols and Capacity - Aug. 26, 2021

        Self-Paced
        Includes the online course Employment Discrimination Law* and additional pre-recorded content, available after the live sessions, for
        those who purchase the full AAO Certificate program. *Registrants can access this course within 30 minutes of registration and will
        additionally be given access to the newly updated & expanded version, at no additional cost, upon release (*Expected Spring 2021).

        Fee: $400 Members/$500 Non-Members.
        Participants can also register for individual days at $100 for non-members/$125 for non-members and the online course at $50,
        but the additional pre-recorded content is only available for those who purchase the full Certificate Program.
