Katie’s practice focuses on public finance, urban development
law, local government regulation, and State and federal
election law. Katie works with special purpose districts, such
as municipal utility districts, both in the role of general counsel
and of bond counsel.
Education and Professional Background. Michigan State
University (B.A. & B.S., high honors, 2004); George Washington
University Law School (J.D., highest honors, 2007); Senior
Production Editor, George Washington Law Review. Admitted to
practice: Illinois, 2007; District of Columbia, 2009; Texas, 2014.
Prior to joining the firm, Katie was an associate in the Food, Drug and Medical Device
Regulatory Practice at Sidley Austin LLP. Katie is a member of the National Association
of Bond Lawyers.
