Suewan’s practice focuses on public finance, urban development
law and local government regulation. Suewan works with special
purpose districts both in the role of general counsel and bond
counsel. Additionally, she has represented state agencies, cities,
counties, institutions of higher education, local government
corporations, municipal management districts and non-profit
organizations as bond counsel and general counsel. Suewan has
also served as underwriters’ counsel, disclosure counsel and
trustee’s counsel.
Education and Professional Background. Louisiana State
University (B.S., Business Management, 1991); The University of Texas School of Law
(J.D., 1995). Prior to joining the firm, Suewan was managing counsel at a global financial
institution, focusing on public finance and structured finance matters for the corporate
trust division.
Member. State Bar of Texas; Houston Bar Association; National Association of Bond
Lawyers; Women in Public Finance (Texas Chapter).
