ģ YES, IT'S TRUE.
All the plastic waste collected, which has been separated and
placed in the right eco point (Yellow), has a treatment that
allows them to be recovered, becoming a new raw material for
new uses.

͍ WHAT'S THE ADVANTAGE?
Recycling packaging that has already been produced and used
saves energy and saves virgin raw materials in the production of
new products and reduces the amount of waste to be treated.

$ For example, in the case of plastic, its recycling contributes
to a decrease in oil consumption.
$ By recycling your used packaging you are helping to reduce
the consumption of natural resources, since recycling a ton of
plastic saves 130kg of oil and promotes energy savings by 70%.

͍ WHAT HAPPENS TO THESE PACKAGES AFTER COLLECTED AT ECOPOINTS?
$ The plastic packaging is separated from the metal and the beverage packages and the materials

that wrongly ended up at each eco point, are removed.
$ When the waste is ready, it goes to the respective recycler, depending on the type of material.
$ Plastic is washed, crushed and processed into granules used for numerous plastic applications. It
thus becomes a new raw material.

͍ WHAT CAN BE PRODUCED WITH RECYCLED PLASTIC?
$ With the recovered plastic, urban furniture (such as playgrounds), clothes, tubes, vases can be
produced.
$ For example, 25 recycled water bottles can produce a new sweatshirt and polypropylene (a type of
plastic widely used in detergent and hygiene products) which is easy to form and color, they can also
be applied to fabrics, raffia bags, parts for automobiles and appliances and even for hospital supplies.
