nels. This behavior was observed visually during the disassembly of the test section. Blocking
of the channels was also observed by means of graphs of pressure drop and graphs of the de-
formations of the entrance, center and exit of the plates against the average speed of the sec-
tion of tests. It was observed a decrease of the hydraulic resistance of the section of tests due
to the increase of the transversal section of flow in the central channel and an exponential in-
crease of the deformations when the critical velocity occurrence. Comparatively, the value ob-
tained for critical velocity in the test section through the experiments was of the order of 85%
of the value obtained by calculation with Miller’s theoretical expression.
