Open out the turn to
4 cover both sides of the
standing part.
With the head of the
5 spanner, pull the standing
part through the crossing turn .
Push the spanner furth er through the
6 knot and, with one or both hands,
apply strain to the rope by pulling down
on both sides of the spanner.
