In the larger of the two
I ropes to be joined, make a
bight.
Tuck the end of the smaller
2 line up through the bight
of the larger, leaving a long
working part of rope.
With the working end of
3 the lighter line, make a turn
around the end of the bight.
Now bring the working
4 end of the lighter line to
one side of the bight and begin
to wrap, making sure that the
first wrapping turn traps the
preceding standing part.
