        Make a long bight in  the
      I  end of a cord.




                                                        Tie a double  overhand  knot by
                                                     2  passing  the  bight twice  through
                                                     the crossing  turn .








                                                            Uncross  any twisted  knot
                                                         3 parts and  remove  any slack,
                                                         working the  knot into shape.







                                  Gradually  tighten  the  knot by
                               4 pulling o n  each  of the  four
                               knot parts in  turn .
