CATEGORY: CROSS FUNCTIONAL TEAM AWARD
PROJECT: PURELL Solution Website Strategy
CATEGORY: DOING WHAT IT TAKES
NOMINATOR: Jeffery Buysse
SPONSOR: 8222
LEADER: 7434
PROFILE:
Describe the situation or event related to the individual's or team's performance.
As the PURELL Solution team raced towards the launch date, this team uncovered
new powerful claims and positioning statements. To maximize these claims, new
images and content had to be created and deployed quickly. The team understood
the needs and the short window in which to get the job done. The team self
organized, assigned the tasks and worked together to make this happen. The last
claims and positioning statements were completed at 3:00 on Friday and the site
was launched complete on Monday morning! This is a GOJO strength. The
response from our customers and our sales people on our website was extremely
positive. The response on the PURELL Solution Product Selection Tool, which
required an outside of GOJO technology partner, was also very positive with the
sales people telling us on the potential importance of this tool.
Describe in detail the individual's or team's notable behaviors.
The team demonstrated their willingness to get the job done despite the changing
parameters of the project. The team understood the importance of making the
website part of this launch and that the changes to claims and content could impact
the success of this launch. With the right attitude and approach, the team made it
happen.
What were the results of the individual’s or team’s behaviors?
The team met their objectives and goals as stated in the section above. I believe
that it is not just that they met the goals, it is how the met the goals that elevated
this team to a "Doing What it Takes" Jerry's nomination. As part of the market test,
the team created a micro-website that was available to distributors and sales people
within the market team area. While the market test was being conducted, the team
leveraged those learnings into the final design of the website. One of these
learnings is the potential of the DSR to get overwhelmed by the number of product
options. The team identified a technology partner that had a product selection tool
and incorporated this into the launch. The team also completed the website
changes for the national launch within a short window.
