PROFILE:
Describe the situation or event related to the individual's or team's performance.
The SAW project represented one of the most technically challenging formulation
projects that GOJO has worked on to date. The team navigated a very small
technical and regulatory space to develop a Category IV, no rinse, food contact
sanitizer and disinfectant wipe with strong aesthetics. This was achieved using a
very small set of allowable food contact approved ingredients. The team faced
challenges head on, kept senior leadership well informed, and took smart risks to
successfully pivot when EPA concluded initial technical solution was a duel active
system and develop a final solution.

The team was successful in part through the implementation of leading daily scrum
meetings, effective project meetings and sponsor updates. The team was also
highly proactive, engaging with and working side by side with the external GLP
testing laboratories and EPA to develop and align on appropriate testing
methodologies and ensure proper testing execution.

The team functioned at an extremely high level of technical competency from all
fronts, utilized innovative project management tools, was highly proactive, was
driven to succeed and find solutions to challenges.

What were the results of the individual’s or team’s behaviors?
The team developed GOJO?s first ever ?in-house? surface disinfection technology
meeting the technical URS, completed GLP safety and efficacy testing per EPA
requirements, and compiled and submitted GOJO?s first EPA registration package
for the Surface Alcohol Wipe (SAW) by the target timing.
