From doing significant market intimacy work in foodservice, there was a need
identified for spill/vomit-up kits due to regulatory shifting landscape. At the same
time, Diane Collins was working with the Healthy Places and Foodservice teams to
effectively position and sell PURELL FOODSERVICE Surface Sanitizer in the
foodservice market. The team found a partner/spill kit manufacturer and met their
need by creating an 8oz PURELL FOODSUFACE Surface Sanitizer sku for their
kits.

Persistence, doing what it takes, exploring market needs and dot connecting with
complementors the foodservice market.

What were the results of the individual’s or team’s behaviors?
This let to an opening order of close to $100k for PURELL FOODSUFACE Surface
Sanitizer. In addition, the FS team realized that this kit was becoming a great door
opener with foodservice chains (and other large retail end users)that led to a whole
systems PURELL SOLUTION discussion...start with the Spill Kit, led to a
conversation about why the PURELL surface sanitizer is a better option, led to the
benefits of the PURELL brand which then led to the entire PURELL SOLUTION
discussion. The result should be an incremental $1+MM in PURELL surface
sanitizer for GOJO in 2018 - for the kits alone.
