NOMINEE NOMINATOR DEPARTMENT
Gloriann Martinek Cheryl Miller Supply Chain Finance 201200
but engages others in exploring ideas for product cost reduction and product/process improvement for the
customer.
What were the results of the individual’s or team’s behaviors?
Gloriann partners with many business and product development teams to estimate or "should cost" most of the
product concepts, even if these concepts never become real products. Should costs are created from models
that Gloriann has improved over the last couple of years for injection molded products, and from completely
new modeling that Gloriann designed during 2017 for other products.
Gloriann continues to learn new concepts and explores new ideas to enhance the level of modeling accuracy
and grow the number of topics she can analyze.
These costs are used to estimate product profitability at launch and in the future, as volume grows and costs
decline. This work is used by GOJO leaders making pricing and programming decisions for new business
opportunities.
In addition to preparing cost analyses, Gloriann also leads cost savings efforts on dispensing, wipes and
Healthy Places products. This effort directly impacts the enterprise profit improvement initiative.
Gloriann is clearly a business partner with all of the teams she supports on a regular basis. The modeling she
prepares for Early Strategic Alignments, Gate reviews, product launches, and "What if" Scenarios is usually
over multiple years, with extensive use of Cost Curves.
CONTRIBUTORS:
Gloriann works with Product Development teams, Global Sourcing, and Value Chain Improvement to develop
cost concepts and test ideas.
