Describe the situation or event related to the individual's or team's performance.
As stated above, historically Jisel has continually identified opportunities to improve GBD results and during
2017 her efforts resulted in multiple significant improvements to GBD?s operational and financial outcomes.
These improved outcomes / projects included?
1)Jisel identified the need for an easy to use (and very accurate) Seller self-service P&L tool (down to
Contribution Margin). She identified the user-requirements, did much of the Excel modeling, performed the QA
& beta testing and conducted Seller training. The Sellers, and GBD management, have quickly found this tool
indispensable. The P&L tool has improved customer service by allowing Sellers/GBD to more quickly reply to
customers? requests for special pricing, has improved Seller efficiency by giving them the ability to get the sku
level profitability data they need when they need it and has improved GBD profitability by improving the visibility
Sellers have to fully-costed sku level results (incorporating Rep Commissions, Container Freight, Dispenser
Programming, etc.) which has allowed them to make better pricing decisions.
2)Jisel, working with Lisa DeMeo, completed implementation of Export customer back-end programing on
Vistex. This has improved GOJO management / Finance oversite of Export back-end programming and
created greater accountability throughout this process.
3) Jisel completed a number of projects with IT / COE that improved GBD customer service and efficiency
during 2017. She worked with IT / COE to map the calculations and rules SAP uses for International order
forward/backward scheduling and to validate all the Master Data SAP uses during this process; the result of
this was quicker fulfillment of International orders and less manual intervention required by GBD Export
Coordinators to ?drop? orders. Jisel also worked with Ashok Kolla on improving the International Commercial
Invoices (CI?s) generated by SAP; these were improved to incorporate GJE now being on SAP, updated
formatting to be more consistent with CI norms used by other international trade participants; this will result in
improved customer service, by allowing our international customers to more efficiently communicate required
transaction data to their respective Customs Officials and has improved GBD Export Coordinator efficiency as
they less often have to manually change CI?s to meet customer needs.
Describe in detail the individual's or team's notable behaviors.
The behaviors that enabled Jisel to have such success in 2017 included:
1)Jisel sees no obstacle, or issue, as too big or complex to solve. She asks ?how might we?.
2)Jisel has a ?give me the ball at the buzzer? attitude. She welcomes challenges and sees them as
opportunities to succeed.
3)Jisel seeks to understand the `why? of processes and computer systems.
4)Jisel empathizes with internal and external stakeholders, taking into consideration their goals, needs and pain
points.
