PROFILE:
Describe the situation or event related to the individual's or team's performance.
This team continues to meet frequently and discuss ongoing needs to manage the
large amount of data that we utilize. We also are in continuous contact around the
critical updates and maintenance needed for our MSISI Admin Fee
Software/System. The implementation of the Oracle database, as well as the
testing, was a task that all were able to take on quickly, recognizing the urgent need
to implement another solution to house our data. The team continues to work on
additional features and functionality that we can access (including connecting to
Tableau to provide scorecard information). The collaboration amongst the team to
determine the best solution was crucial to achieving the goal. This work allows the
Enterprise to continue to receive highly accurate and detailed data that is necessary
for the healthcare business to operate and remain compliant with our GPO partners.
Because of this data, we are able to continue to remain compliant with our
administrative fee commitments to our GPO partners without any gaps in reporting.
This was certainly an NWOW (technology and tools) for the healthcare team, and
the training, assistance and guidance provided by the IT team to ensure our ability
to self service was key in ensuring a smooth transition to the Oracle database from
our previous excel document.
Describe in detail the individual's or team's notable behaviors.
The commitment to providing the best solution possible, when there were many
options, was key in distinguishing this team from others. The team acted quickly
and accurately to ensure a smooth transition in this project.
What were the results of the individual’s or team’s behaviors?
The team was able to meet and quickly decide on a solution that would allow the
healthcare team to manage the database, add data, update records and able to still
provide the reporting that we needed for our healthcare scorecards that are critical
for managing our business. The Oracle database that was implemented will not only
allow us to house all current data, but allow us to pull in historical data (prior to 1
year of data) that will allow us to identify and trend product, distributor and end user
data.
