WORKING AT GOJO
1. JERRY’S PLACE AND CAFÉ JOE
th
In 1986, Jerry’s Place opened at GOJO Lippman Campus, marking the 40 anniversary
of GOJO. Jerry’s Place is lunchroom where employees can come and enjoy a meal and
take a break. Since the founding of our Company, it has always been a practice of
GOJO to provide employees with coffee, tea, milk, hot chocolate, popcorn, bread,
butter, peanut butter, jelly, crackers, and various condiments – edible benefits for all
employees to enjoy.
Where it all began: Mr. Jerome (Jerry) Lippman, our founder told it this way:
If you work together, you should break bread together. So, we provided the
bread.
But how can you provide only bread and not butter? So, we furnished bread
and butter; this way, our employees could have toast in the morning if they left
home without breakfast. You can’t work on an empty stomach.
Now, what if you forgot your lunch at home? It made sense to provide peanut
butter and jelly for sandwich fixings.
So, what have you got? A full stomach but an awfully dry mouth. How could we
provide food without something to drink, too? So, we made coffee, tea, and
other beverages available.
It all makes perfect sense, doesn’t it?
All employees are welcome to use the facility and its many services. For example,
stoves, refrigerators, microwave ovens, and toasters are available for your food
preparation and storage. In addition, vending machines offer a selection of foods and
snacks. To keep Jerry’s Place the special place that it is, please clean up beverage
spills, return items to their storage areas, and discard any litter.
We’re all proud of Jerry’s Place. The fully-equipped facilities are basic food service
centers and gathering places for all employees.
2. ATM
GOJO has an ATM through National City Bank at GOJO Plaza (located in the first
floor lobby) and GOJO Manufacturing Center, Lippman Campus (located at the Working at GOJO
bottom of the stairs leading to Jerry’s Place). If you have an account with PNC, there P a g e | 24
is no transaction fee for using this ATM. Since this service is provided by PNC,
problems with the ATM should be reported directly to NCB. Their phone number can
be found on the ATM.
3. BUSINESS CASUAL
If your role does not require a uniform or have defined apparel requirements for
working in a cGMP manufacturing area, you may wear business casual attire for
work. Standard professional attire may be situationally appropriate for meetings or
other business events. Jeans are not business casual for the standard workday.
Fridays are designated as a relaxed day for business casual, and tidy jeans are
acceptable. Flip flops are never appropriate at work due to safety considerations.
Logo T-shirts or plain T-shirts are not business casual.
