A Study on the Relationships between
Principal’s Positive Leadership and
Teacher’s Organizational Citizenship
Behavior of Hwalien County Elementary
Schools
Abstract
The study aims to probe into the current condition, differences, and
correlation of Hwalien County elementary school principal’s positive
leadership and teacher’s organizational citizenship behavior.
The method of questionnaire survey was adopted with stratified random
sampling and 300 public elementary school teachers from Hwalien County
were selected and given the Questionnaire for Research on Schoolteachers’
principal’s positive leadership and teacher’s organizational
citizenship behavior written by the researcher herself/himself. The
effective sample size was xxx persons; the recollection rate of
effective questionnaires was xx%. The data collected was analyzed and
tested via a good number of statistic measures including descriptive
statistics, t-Test, One-Way ANOVA, product-moment correlation, and
stepwise multiple regression analysis. The findings of the study were
as followed:
1. Teachers’ perception of principal’s positive leadership was good.
2. Teachers’ perception of organizational citizenship behavior was
good.
3. Teachers’ perception of principal’s positive leadership and
organizational citizenship behavior was significantly different among
those with other backgrounds.
4. There was a positive correlation between principal’s positive
leadership and teacher’s organizational citizenship behavior.
5. Principal’s positive leadership can significantly influence
teacher’s organizational citizenship behavior.
Based on the abovementioned findings, the study provides certain
suggestions to the education administration authority, elementary
