            19. Shifeta, P & Joshua L. M., Experiences of facilitating learning
and teaching during COVID-19: A case of a higher education
            institution
Background: The devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic
have caused an alarming loss of human life, halted many economies in
most countries, and led to the closure of many educational institutions
worldwide. Consequently, the declaration of the COVID-19 pandemic
was followed by drastic measures by governments to curb the spread
            worldwide.
Aim: The purpose of this paper is to assess the challenges and
prospects of facilitating teaching and learning on a higher education
            institution campus.
Methodology: The paper adopted a desktop qualitative analysis
through reflection and observation. A literature control was done to
            cement the observation made.
Results: The main finding of this paper is that COVID-19 presented
several learning and teaching challenges that affected students and
teachers at a higher education institution campus.
Recommendations: The paper recommended that the regulatory
bodies should step in to ensure that higher education institutions are
monitored to provide quality higher education to all.
Conclusions: Therefore, it is unsurprising to conclude that COVID-
19’s unveiled challenges that have been kept under the surface which
requires interventions from stakeholders to provide quality higher
            education.
