role in teachers’ ability to gather data and self-reflect on own teaching.
Lately, the positive effects of reflective teaching on teacher
performance are obvious to most teachers.
Aim: The purpose of study was to determine the teachers’
understanding and application of critical reflection and how it
influenced learners’ performance in the national examinations.
Methodology: The study followed a mixed methods case study
design. The target population was the teachers in all senior secondary
schools in a selected region (Namibia).
Results: The findings of the study revealed that teachers are not well
equipped with skills and knowledge and digital resources necessary to
effectively engage in reflective teaching.
Conclusion: It is argued that a good reflective disposition of a teacher
can improve learners’ performance.

enhancing online pedagogies in higher education institutions: amid

Background: Globally, the higher education landscape has
experienced monumental changes since the outbreak of the COVID-
19 pandemic. The spread of the virus from human to human
necessitated the need for social distance and avoiding crowded places.
As a result, higher education institutions chose digital technology to
facilitate online pedagogic access.
Aim: The purpose of this paper is to investigate educational
challenges with technology-assisted learning and assess the impact of
COVID-19 on pedagogies in institutions of higher learning within a
Namibian context.
