            5. Chirimbana, M. & Nghipandulwa, L.L., Challenges faced by
teachers in implementing the mathematics revised curriculum at
Grade 11 in Endola Circuit, Ohangwena Region
Aim: The study evaluated the obstacles experienced by Mathematics
teachers in applying the redesigned curriculum for the Namibian
Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary (NSSCO) in Endola Circuit,
            Ohangwena Region.
Methodology: A qualitative methodology was utilised to collect data
from 12 participants who comprised four HODs for Mathematics and
eight teachers from the four selected secondary schools through an in-
            depth face to face interview.
Results: Participants in the study indicated that they do not have
enough resources such as textbooks, library facilities, Mathematics
study rooms, for the implementation of the new Mathematics
curriculum for the Namibian Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary
(NSSCO) in the selected secondary schools in Endola Circuit. The
study revealed that challenges affecting the new Mathematics
curriculum implementation include the negative attitude of learners
toward Mathematics, lack of motivation for both teachers and
learners, overcrowded classes, lack of educational infrastructure due
to the lack of financial support and parental involvement.
Recommendations: The participants proposed that policies should
address the inadequate provision of needed resources to schools
            located in the rural areas.
