Dear Ms. Ducharme and Mr. Gubbels,
Thank you very much for the opportunity to assist the National Shrine of Mary, Mother of the Church on
its pilgrimage to rebuild, to expand, and to further enliven its home in Laurie, Missouri.
The National Shrine of Mary, Mother of the Church is a place of pilgrimage which exalts the Blessed
Mother, calls all to pray and reflect, and serves as a universal voice promoting motherhood and the
integrity of family life.
The mission of the Shrine is to provide faith filled and joyful Eucharistic celebrations, to provide
family-oriented programs, pilgrimages, and retreats for the spiritual enrichment of home life, and to
provide greater recognition of mothers through the Mothers’ Wall.
Bernardon and our parent firm Core States Group bring great passion and experience to your project.
We are a unique design firm in that we immerse ourselves in your mission and culture, and we have the
experience and design talent to sharpen the vision to unleash the full potential of the Mary, Mother of
the Church (Mothers’ Shrine) living its mission. We become a part of and advocates for the Mothers’
Shrine. We are skilled listeners, and we have the powerful ability to distill the essence of your vision to
create design solutions that elevate the vision and advance the culture and pilgrimage experience of the
Mothers’ Shrine.
I have experienced great reward in knowing that the gifts I have been freely given are contributing greatly
to the environments we create for pilgrimage, worship, and prayer. Please know that it would be an honor
to participate with the Mothers’ Shrine on this important project.
We have outlined our understanding of your needs and the footsteps that we recommend achieving your
goals. If you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
Respectfully submitted,
