Specifically, this study aimed to ascertain the profile of the respondents in terms of age,
sex, civil status, highest educational attainment, monthly net income, membership type, and
length of membership; the clients’ level of satisfaction regarding multi-purpose loan service
along application, term of loan, processing and releasing, performance of employees, and
location; the problems encountered relative to members applying for a multi-purpose loan; the
relationship between the clients’ satisfaction and their profiles; and the strategies/programs/
activities that can be proposed to improve the multi-purpose loan services of Pag-IBIG Fund.
The following summarizes the salient findings of the study:
1. Respondents are dominated by females, relatively young, educated, married and earn
an average of 10,000 pesos monthly income; 2. Pag-ibig Fund provides satisfactory mall-
based multi-purpose loan service; 3. Clients experience little difficulty in complying with the
requirements of a multi-purpose loan; 4. The personal attributes of the clients do not generally
affect their level of satisfaction but length of membership is a factor in the clients’ level of
satisfaction.
To improve further the mall-based service of Pag-IBIG Fund, the following recommendations
are forwarded: 1. The Fund must ensure that proper billing notice is made and sent to employers
regarding their employees who have availed of multi-purpose loans. The same should be done
to individual payors, overseas contract workers, and self-employed individuals. 2. The hiring of
additional manpower should be considered to fast track or reduce the processing time of loan
from 3 working days to just one day to better serve the members (“Faster Operations, Better
Services”). 3. Information Blasting should be resorted to in order to enhance the knowledge
of members regarding Pag-IBIG Fund and the benefits available to them. 4. The Enforcement
Division should be armed with police power to force negligent and unscrupulous employers
to deduct and at the same time remit to Pag-IBIG Fund the necessary savings and loan
amortizations. 5. Pag-IBIG Fund should strengthen its Client Service aspect by periodically
training its employees regarding the Fund’s services, and sending them to seminars to improve
Client Service Representation.
