                                ROLANDO D. ACORIBA, Jr.

The study attempted to investigate the school administrators’ total quality management
practices and their implication to schools’ performance in the Division of Misamis Oriental for
the school year 2014-2015. More specifically, it answered the frequency of practice of school
administrators’ total quality management practices in the following areas: student development,
personnel development curriculum implementation, legislation and control, physical facilities,
finance, community extension, and educational planning, research and evaluation as rated by
school administrators themselves and teachers. It also ascertained the schools’ performance in
terms of achievement rate indicator sub satiated by the implication of the schools’ performance.
Findings revealed that all areas of total quality management practices were oftentimes
practiced by the school administrators. But among the eight identified TQM areas, curriculum
implementation, physical facilities, finance, student development and community extension
were the lowest in rank; The performance of the schools was average mastery level based
on the results of the National Achievement Test for the school year 2014-2015; 2.The school
administrators’ total quality management practices in the various areas enhanced and improved
the performance level of the schools.
Based on the findings, the conclusions were drawn: The total quality management
practices on curriculum implementation, physical facilities, and finance student development
ad community extension were oftentimes practiced which means that the schools’ performance
target is not attained. The schools’ performance is described as average mastery which
implies that the students lack proficiency in the five learning areas being tested in the National
Achievement Test. The school administrators’ total quality management practices are essential
       to attain quality schools’ performance.
Based from the findings and conclusion of the study, the research recommends the
following: School administrators should improve and sustain the following practices to strengthen
the TQM implementation and schools’ performance. Provide students’ textbooks and teachers’
manual congruent to the competencies of the schools’ adopted curriculum; Provide proper
