On the basis of the findings, the following conclusions were drawn:most of the respondents are
in their middle age, males, college graduate permanently employed and receiving a monthly
income of P10,000 and below. This signifies that the employees, despite meager salary, they
still are trying to work hard to make both ends meet. The over-all result of the level of work
performance among respondents was rated “Always” an indication that young employees are
dedicated and committed in their work with micro-finance sector. The employees age does not
show significant differences on all work performance which means that young or old, employees
in micro-finance sector continuously give their bests. The significant differences in some areas
across sex are a manifestation that males and females have different views as far as work is
concerned. Female might be too busy with their families and with other household activities
among others. The insignificant relationship between the work performance of respondents
on all areas and their variable profiles is an indication that regardless of age, sex, highest
educational attainment, employment status and source of income, the respondents still are
working to the best of their abilities to prove their own worth in their respective workplaces.
The researcher recommends that the research would have be enriched by more detailed
investigation into the outcomes of performance appraisal from the manager’s perspective. What
do they need from it to drive the micro-finance sector forward? What are their experiences,
particularly in dealing with difficult feedback? How do they intend to measure the overall impact
of improved performance on the organization. This research was undertaken during a period
of relatively high motivation of staff. It follows a recent corporate transformation. Where the
literature review cites dissatisfaction at performance appraisal, there is no indication of whether
all of the micro-finance sector were succeeding, or if the workforce was motivated. Further
research into the link between the companies’ success, motivation levels, must be immediately
undertaken,

graphics, branding and size. A descriptive method in research was used. Its goal is to acquire
factual, accurate and systematic data that can be used in averages, frequencies and other
similar statistical calculations. The data gathered through questionnaire became the basis of the
