A Dreadful Accident

I slowly looked around to survey the damage done.

I was relieved that not much damage had been

done to the kitchen, except for the carpet itself. It

would have to be thrown away and a new one

bought. Sadly, my relief instantly turned to guilt as
my mom started shouting at me. I burst into tears

as she scolded me. She said things like, “I’m so

disappointed in you!” and “I can’t believe you

would do something so idiotic!” I cried, feeling

very sorry for letting my mother down as that was

something I had never wanted to do. I had always
wanted her to be proud of me at all times.
