Team CXC – Employee of the Year
2019 EASTERN ZONE OFFICE EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR
The Employee of the Year award programme, is based on the
performance of staff members during the period January to
December of each year. The objective is to reward outstanding
effort and high performance, encourage innovative and
strategic thinking, encourage efficiency, effectiveness and
high productivity, motivate staff members, and to reinforce the
aims, objectives and core values of CXC . ®
The winner of this award receives a miniature plaque with their
name inscribed and their name will also be inscribed on an
institutional plaque which is displayed prominently in the lobby
area. The employee also receives a three-day, all-expenses
paid trip to the Western Zone Office in Jamaica, in addition to a
parking space reserved for a one-year period. The Employee Ms Heather Sobers, Editorial Assistant,
Examinations Development and Production Department
of the Year is expected to represent the organisation at various
sessions throughout the year and be a role model for other
employees. Each Employee of the Year is given the honour of
presenting the award in the following year, to their successor.
This year two employees tied for the coveted Employee of
the Year (EOY) Award 2019. Ms Heather Sobers, Editorial
Assistant, Examinations Development and Production
Department and Ms Kemba Gordon, Accounts Clerk, Finance
and Office Management Department and last years’ EOY
Awardee.
Both employees display CXC . Core Values in all aspects of

their roles especially in their interaction with both internal and
external stakeholders, they possess excellent communications
skills, are analytical, display initiative, helpful and show
commitment to their role and responsibilities through
participation in team sessions and in-house presentations.

They also participate in CXC . Social Events and are passionate
