A Picture of My Island Life

I whispered to my Mom, “Can’t I go look

around?”

I went over to a painting on the back wall of the

restaurant. It was of a group of dancers. They
were so pretty in their costumes.

The painting was called Vincy Carnival 2013. The

ladies wore glittering swimsuits and yellow and

orange feathers on their heads. Wings fanned
from their backs and feathers from their legs.
