Question: I am responsible for the registration of candidates at a private centre. The
candidates from the centre are registered for the Alternative or Re-sit option. The system is not
allowing me to enter the rank and estimated grades of the candidates. What can be done to
resolve the problem?
Answer: It is not a problem. The ORS does not make it compulsory for private centres to
submit rank and estimated grades for the candidates.

Question: Why is it that we cannot see some of the candidates on the SBA Data Capture screen
even though they are all assigned?
Answer: If the subject has a large number of candidates, some of them will not be displayed
on the screen at any one time. The numbers at the bottom of the screen refer to pages and
other candidates for the subject can be seen by clicking on any of those numbers.

Question: What could have caused all the SBA marks keyed for a candidate to disappear from
the ORS?
Answer: If the candidate is unassigned from a teacher, the SBA marks will be removed
automatically.

Question: After forwarding my SBA file to the Ministry, I saw a message on my computer
screen that the SBA is pending. What does that mean?
Answer: It means that the SBA file is resident at the Ministry awaiting to be forwarded to
CXC.
