                         That from the Factors at Bushire was under date the 5th April &
                     acquainted us that Captain Baillio with the fleet under his command arrived
                     there the lOfcli March & proceeded for Bussorah the 13th but that they had
                     not fora long time before haany certain intelligence of tho Chaul), except
                          he had plundered all the villages both above & below tho town of
        Mfthaoa and Karim pUSSOrah and it was apprehended ho would make an attempt on the town
                     itself. That Meer Mahana bad since his capture of Carraok remained very
                     quiet. Carem Caun had written the Shaik of Bushire, that he would soon
                     send a large force to his assistance, tho’ none were arrived and as the bad weather
                     was then drawing near, imagined none would come, especially as they learnt
                     he had sent a large force under command of his brother Sadoo Caun against
                     Nasser Caun at Lhor. They remarked that for want of proper sortments of
                     coarse cloth & Perpets their sales had been hut small, their balance of cash
                     then being Rupees 37,021-3-18. That they should on Mr. Jervis’s return
                     hither answer our Letter of tho 5th Januaiy last more fully, that gentleman
                    returned us thanks ior admitting him to a 6eat at our Board & proposed
                    taking his passage in tho Dadaloij tho. be imagined neither she nor any

                    correspondence from Bushire to be constantly once a fortnight to the Agency
                    We now order that copies of all letters wrote from thence to the Presidency
                    be sent to the Agent and Couuoil at Bussorah by the very first conveyance
                    that offers.
                        4.  We also direct that the Resident at Bushire is not to correspond with
