Type 17
Following the cession in September 1958 the use of such stamps
in Guadur no longer constituted “Pakistan used Abroad” and by 1966
the Pakistan Government had introduced a domestic type postal
cancellation inscribed GWADUR - MEKRAN (Type 17).
The arrangement whereby Guadur continued to be administered,
from April 1948 to September 1958, by the Government of Pakistan
was no doubt a matter of geographical convenience and there was, in
any case, little postal revenue to be gained. However, the continued
use of Pakistan stamps during this period provides a most interesting
closing chapter to the long postal history of Guadur.
