          This uncertainty continued through the first half of this century.
          Starting in 1915 as GUADUR (Type 9), it had changed to GWADUR
          (Type 10) by 1927: six years later it reverted to GUADUR (Types
          9A, 11 and 11 A) and it was not until 1955 that GWADUR came into
          its own again (Types 10A and 10B).














                         Type 11               Type 11A

               Type 11 was dropped on its head in early youth and invariably
          shows the damaged upper arc of the outer circle! The ‘killer* arc
          types never appeared with GWADUR spelling.
               Apart from the definitive Indian K.G.V. stamps, the lower values
          of the 1929 air mail issue, the 1931 New Delhi and the 1935 Silver
          Jubilee issues may also be found used in Guadur, but there was still
          little use for values above 4 annas except on telegrams. The rate for a
          registered air mail letter to Karachi was only 9 annas.

               Imperial Airways inaugurated their Cairo-Karachi service on
          April 4th, 1929. Originally routed via Basra and following the Persian
          coast to Guadur, the route was changed to the Southern coast, via
