Land Development Manager
Primary responsibilities include managing the planning entitlements and development of small and large single-
family, multi-family, mixed use and commercial development projects. Projects range from 20 to over 500 acres
and include overseeing the development process from acquisition through complex entitlements, environmental
permitting, water entitlements, civil infrastructure design and construction of onsite and offsite improvements.
Entitlements include working with local permitting agencies, Army Corps, US and CA Department of Fish and
Wildlife, State and Regional Water Boards, Caltrans, and local water agencies. Permitting includes compliance
with NEPA, CEQA and CESA, 1600 and 404 permits.
Cornerstone Structural Engineering, Fresno, CA 2017
Engineering Manager
Primary responsibility was to coach and mentor very technically competent structural design engineers in the
areas of project, contract and client management. The Founder was looking to go into semi-retirement, but he
was concerned about the contract, client and project management capabilities of his team. Assisted 5 Project
Managers in getting significant lagging contract amendments negotiated with clients and bringing project
budgets and schedules back into line with contracts and client expectations. After 10-months the issues of
concern were resolved; the project managers were functioning with confidence and competence; client
relations, projects, contracts and schedules were turned around and Project managers were all performing well.
