California Association of Sanitation Agencies (CASA)
§ Lead a variety of legal, regulatory, and legislative initiatives on behalf of 120+ member association of local
agencies that provide wastewater treatment, recycled water, and renewable energy services.
Director of Operations, July 2018 - Present
§ In addition to all responsibilities below, lead and assist with management of association activities,
including conference program planning, internal budgeting, communications (newsletters, social
media, membership recruitment), strategic planning and business plan development.
§ Supervise legislative and regulatory analyst position and other association staff.
Director of Government Affairs, July 2014 to July 2018
§ In addition to all responsibilities below, supervise and direct outside lobbyists (state and federal) and
outside engineering consultants on issues of significance to the association.
§ Lead and organize coalitions of individual public agencies and fellow trade associations in support
and in opposition to key pieces of legislation and large regulatory proposals.
§ Prepare and deliver presentations on key issues to CASA membership at CASA conferences (250+
attendees) and other state and national clean water associations.
