                                                                                             An Ode to a Toad
Wharton was an in•spi•ra•tion to every toad whose abode was a pond by the side
        of the road.
His splash bode happiness, and it clearly showed, for the frogs faces brightly
glowed. It was kindness that he sowed.
His personal code made him carry more than just his load, for from his heart love
flowed. In troubled waters he often rowed his lily frond through the breakers of
their pond to rescue many a dis•com•mo•ded toad.
                                                                                                       Story 251

Un•friend•ly as an elephant rogue, the loner refuses to wear any clothes in
vogue. He cares not to talk or collogue, and when he does it's in a pe•cu•li•ar
        brogue.
                                                                                                    1
He only likes to be alone to fish for togue upon a pond in a pi•rogue .
