Ø Samina saves PKR 50 per day from his pocket money.
Ø Every month Samina saves PKR 1500 (PKR 50 saved per day x 30 days)
Ø To calculate how many months it will take to Samina we need to divide the cost of the mobile
(PKR 6000) by the money she saves every month (PKR 1500)
Ø Therefore PKR 6000/ PKR 1500 saved per moth gives 4 months. Samina needs 4 months to
accomplish her saving goal. 4 months is the result of dividing the saving goal of PKR 6,000 by the
PKR 1,500 that Samina can save every month.

On a chalkboard, flip chart, or other visual aid, show par cipants the sample Savings Plan and review
together. The answers are wri en for you below – however, do not write the answers un l you have
explained each step for par cipants. Say:
