3070. This is ordinary SQUARE SINNET '#: 300 I made on the table.
This seems to be a quicker method than the ordinary way and with
practice might prove even faster than the Captain Charles W. Smith
JoGS method ('#: 3018). After a little experience the operator will be able
, to move opposite strands simultaneously; two strands (1-3. 3-1) are
moved together, then 2-4, 4-2. Even-numbered strands, as usual, go
to the left and odd strands to right.
3071, 3072. FLAT CHISEL-EDGED SINNETS. These are quite hand-
some and may be made wider if desired. Many of the sinnets that are
shown here lend themselves to amplification .
