Chapter 1: Introduction

Configure the Master Alarm Name, Location, and Alarm Return
Time

1. To configure the Master Alarm’s location, zone, floor number, wing
direction, alarm return time, N2 address, facility description, and contact
telephone number, click on the Setup Device link. The Setup Device page
displays (see figure 1-34 on page 1-84).

NOTE:
The information in these fields identify which Master Alarm that alarm or
event information is coming from. The identity displays on the monitor and in
the event log.

2. If you want to change the device name to a unique name, type the new
name in the Device Name window.

3. To access the Web pages by using the name you have given it, enable
NetBios Name Service over the TCP/IP in your Internet browser’s settings
(see “Setting up the Internet Interface” on page 6-11).
