6.2 Setting up the Internet Interface
Chapter 6: General Procedures
This method works on a LAN if your browser has the “Use NetBios Name
Lookup” option enabled, but will not work across routers to the Internet. The
local name is configured in the Setup Device Web page (see figure 6-10 on
page 6-18). The Device Name, which is the word Master plus its serial
number, always works.

3. DNS name lookup
Example: http://www.yourfacility.com/master123
This method requires IS personnel to enroll the device into the facility’s DNS

server. Microsoft® 2000 Server has a dynamic DNS that enrolls devices
automatically if the feature is enabled. If IS personnel allow access though the
facility’s fire-wall, the device can be accessed from the Internet.
