6.2 Setting up the Internet Interface
Chapter 6: General Procedures

1. Open a web browser, such as E-Microsoft Internet Explorer® 4 or

Netscape Navigator® 4.
2. Check to learn if your browser uses a proxy server or not. If not, skip to
step 4. If so, go to step 3.
3. If your Web browser uses a proxy server, it will attempt to find the network
device on the Internet; so you will need to add an exception.
a. To add an exception, do the following:
• While your browser is running, go to the Tools drop down menu.
• Click on the Internet Options choice.
• Click on the Connections tab.
• Click on the Lan Settings button.
• Click on the Advanced button.
• Enter 192.168.*.*, beside the HTTP: Type in the “Proxy address to
use” window.
• Go to step 5.
4. If your Web browser does not use a proxy server, enter http://192.168.1.1/
in the address window (A); then press Enter (see figure 6-2 on page 6-8).
NOTE:
This is the Controller Serial Port Address, and NEVER changes.
The Home page of the controller displays.
5. To close the session, do the following:
a. Right click on the two little monitors on the task bar.
b. Select Disconnect.
