Oil-Less Claw Medical Vacuum
5.0 Trouble Shooting
Problem Possible Causes Solution
Pump overheats Cooling ducts blocked Clean cooling ducts
Cooling fan broken Replace fan
High ambient temperature Ventilate or cool room
Vacuum too high Adjust vacuum settings or relief valve
Inlet restricted Remove restriction
Exhaust restricted Remove restriction
The gearcase may be low/ empty If the oil level is found to be low,
of oil, has contaminated oil or was immediately shut off the pump, drain
fi lled with an incorrect type of oil. the remaining oil from the gearcase and
replenish with new fresh oil. If an incorrect
oil type or contamination is found, contact
the factory for assistance.
Refer to Section 5.1 for the correct oil type.
Unit runs rough and cannot Worn coupling Remove motor & inspect coupling element
be rotated manually Replace, if necessary
Worn bearings Contact factory for assistance
High vacuum level Vacuum relief valves need adjusting Contact factory for assistance
Vacuum setting out of adjustment Adjust vacuum setting on main display
