FICA CHECKLIST

Partnerships

This checklist contains details of the verification documents that must be supplied when validating Natural
Persons: South African Citizens / Residents client information, in order to comply with the KYC (Know-Your-
Client) requirements of FICA (the Financial Intelligence Centre Act, 38 of 2001).

Information to be Obtained Acceptable Verification Documents

Name of the partnership Partnership Agreement

Full Names;
Date of Birth; If Natural Person Identity Document
Identity Number;

OR

Full Names; If Foreign National Passport
Date of Birth;
Name of Country;

OF

Every Partner;

The Person who exercises executive control over the Resolution/Mandate of person exercising executive
partnership; and control.

Each Natural person who is authorized to establish a
business relationship or single transaction on behalf
of the partnership.
Residential Address and Contact Particulars Any one of the following documents reflecting the
client’s name and residential address
OF
Municipal rates and taxes invoice;
The Person who exercises executive control over the
partnership; and Recent lease or rental agreement;

Each Natural person who is authorized to establish a Telkom Account;
business relationship or single transaction on behalf
of the partnership. Mortgage Statement from Bank;
