• Acoustic Contemporary Guitar 1 (Ages 8 & Up) – This course is designed to develop basic
music skills applied to the guitar. Students will learn to play melodies, develop rhythm ability,
recognize musical terms and symbols, as well as play guitar harmonies and learn songs.

• Beginning Classical Guitar (Ages 8 & Up) - Classical guitar explores core techniques and
concepts of the instrument and takes you through a structured, progressive course of work.

• Flute Ensemble (Ages 8 & Up) – An opportunity for Flute students to play in a group setting.
Instructor: Miranda DeBretto Recommended Donation of $12 per weekly session
• Chamber Orchestra (by approval) – Students should be able to read music & have a minimum
of 1 year experience on their instrument. This is a course composed for a small group of
instruments including strings, woodwind, brass, and piano. We will be performing works from
classical and Christian music literature. Students will be expected to practice a minimum of 20
minutes a day on repertoire and attend weekly rehearsals and regular performances such as
Quest Connects and the Quest Fine Arts Festival. Instructor: Kathryn Harpainter Recommended

• Intermediate Cello Ensemble (Ages 8 & Up) – An opportunity for intermediate Cello students
to play in a group setting. Instructor: Marion Turner Recommended Donation of $12 per
weekly session
• Advanced Orchestra (by approval) - This orchestra is unique in its composition in that it seeks
to honor God through orchestral music. The instructor is a nationally renowned conductor and
composer and is in high demand as an instructor. He is well versed in youth orchestras and has
committed to developing a program which uses Christian music in the classical orchestral style to
develop ensemble playing skills for our students. Students should have at least 1 -2 years of
experience with their instrument, but very advanced students are also welcome and will be given
more challenging pieces in smaller ensembles. Students will be expected to practice their
orchestral pieces at home and incentives for practice will be provided. The orchestra will perform
at various venues from time to time including possibilities at Quest Connects and at the
Christmas Gala and the Fine Arts Festival in May. Instructor: David Rife Recommended Donation

• Intermediate Classical Guitar (Ages 9 & Up) - This course is open to students with at least
one year of guitar experience and a strong understanding of the fundamentals. If you are

• Fiddle Jam Session (Recommended: Minimum One Year Formal Training, and an Ability
to Read Music) - We will be learning songs from American, Scottish, and Irish folk heritage.
This will include dance tunes such as Jig, Reel, Waltz, bluegrass, and country blues. Students
will be expected to practice a minimum of 20 minutes a day on repertoire and attend weekly
rehearsals and regular performances such as Quest Connects and the Quest Fine Arts
