               THE NEXT 25 YEARS

             THE RESORT AT EAGLE
                       POINT
cott Lusk, General Manager at The Resort
Sat Eagle Point, remembers 25 years ago
when Southern Oregon was quite surprised
at rumors of a new golf course coming to
Eagle Point, that small community just north
of Medford. “There wasn’t a lot happening in
Eagle Point back then.” But today, the award
winning 18-hole golf course, designed by
world renowned golf course architect Robert
Trent Jones Jr., draws people from all over
Oregon, as well as visitors from around the
          world—every month of the year.

This year marks another exciting time for
          Southern Oregon with Phoenix-based Eagle
Point Parks Legacy, LLC acquiring The Resort
at Eagle Point and other properties adjoining
the golf course from the Hyer family. “Our
commitment is to continue and improve
upon the great work of the Hyers,” notes Alan
Mishkin, Founding Partner of parent company
Parks Legacy Project. “Eagle Point represents
the best golf experience in the area, and we
recognize it serves the community as a point
of pride, which is our goal moving forward.”

Part of early planning includes enhancing the
golf club and club facilities and adding chalets,
fairway view homes, and other live/lodging
          offerings. Ground-breaking on additional
planned chalets couldn’t happen soon enough
for Lodging Director, Terri Steinhorst. “In
addition to hosting golf tournaments, wed-
ding and business events, our chalets and
resort provide a comfortable home base for
thousands of visitors who attend our various
festivals and explore all of the wonder-filled
natural waterfalls and scenic points of interest
along the way to Crater Lake National Park.”
