ON EXPORT & INVESTMENT PROMOTION

DTI will focus its targeted and more aggressive investment and export promotion campaign
on priority sectors/industries identified. The Department will upscale its Regional Interactive
Platform for Philippine Exports (RIPPLES) Program by facilitating developmental activities of
MSMEs. DTI will also harness the potential of the Philippine Halal Industry, and will aim to be
among the top 5 producers in the ASEAN region of Halal-certified products, contributing to
the economic growth of the regions in Mindanao. DTI will also endeavor to replicate the
success of the IT-BPM industry by catapulting our creative industries and become market
leaders in media, arts and culture, and design.

                          Philippine Halal Export Development
The project aims to support the growth of the Philippine Halal Industry as
envisioned by Republic Act No. 10817, otherwise known as the Philippine Halal
Export Development and Promotion Act of 2016. The target is to achieve an
increase in export volume and sales of Halal-certified products, with sales
targeted at US$ 1 billion with the Philippines as top 5 producer in ASEAN of
